I am interested in participating as an exhibitor during the Trade Fair or the Festival.

It is possible to exhibit at the Trade Fair or the Festival (or both). Please contact us on to discuss the possibilities.

What are the prices for visiting Chocoa?

There are several events taking place at Chocoa. The earlier you get your ticket, the cheaper it is. Are you a professional? Please see here. Are you a chocolate lover? Please go here.

What do I get for my Chocoa Festival ticket?

A ticket gives entry for one day to Chocoa Festival. You can visit the 85 exhibitors, talk to chocolate makers or experts. Taste samples and buy products of high quality, some you won’t find anywhere else in the Netherlands. There are free presentations and workshops in the Effectenbeurszaal. You can participate in many (free and paid) tastings by the exhibitors. Also, there is art, education and other entertainment. Children will enjoy themselves in the children area. Children need to be accompanied. It is not allowed to bring your own food inside the venue.

Where can I book a tasting at Chocoa Festival?

Tastings are organized in several rooms. There are free tastings and there are a few paid tastings. You now also have the option to reserve a spot in the Festival tastings when you buy your ticket! This will be available late 2018 or at the beginning of 2019. Please mind that for the tastings with liquor, you have to be at least 18 years old to participate. The presentations and talks in the Effectenbeurszaal are free. Because of the limited availability of tastings, we recommend visitors to come early if they have not pre-booked a spot in the tastings. Please sign up for our newsletter to get regular updates on the tastings and the programme.

When is Chocoa open?

The Festival opens from 10:00 – 18:00 o’clock on Saturday 23th and Sunday 24th of February, 2019. You will get a stamp when you enter, so it is possible to come back later. It is not possible to use the same ticket twice. If you are with a group, everyone need to enter at the same time.

Can I call the organization?

If you need to reach us, you can send us an email on or by filling in the contact information below. It is not possible to reach us by phone.

I bought a ticket to the Festival but I can not go to Chocoa. What do I do?

Chocoa does not provide a refund. Please read the general conditions here (in Dutch). Perhaps you can give your ticket to a friend, family member or a nice neighbor and make someone really happy.

How do I get to the Beurs van Berlage from Amsterdam Central Station?

The Beurs van Berlage is situated in the heart of Amsterdam centre, about 300 meters from the station on your left hand. You can see the Beurs van Berlage – on the Damrak – in front of you when you leave the Central Station and walk towards the Dam square.

Where can I park my car?

Parking your car in the centre is expensive. We therefore recommend you to come by public transport.

Nevertheless, there are several options for parking in the area of the Beurs van Berlage. Right next to the Beurs is garage ‘De Bijenkorf’. The cheapest option, especially if you are staying longer than 5 hours, is garage Oosterdok. If you are parked longer than 5 hours you pay only € 15,- For more information about parking in the area, please look here.

Can I enter the Festival with my museum pass (museumjaarkaart)?

You can not use your museum pass at the Beurs van Berlage.

Should I buy a ticket for my children?

Children aged up to 5 years old have free entry to Chocoa Festival. Children between the age of 6 – 17 years need to have a ticket for a reduced price. Adults, from the age of 18, need to get a regular ticket. Tickets will be checked.

Are there any activities for children?

Your children will not get bored during Chocoa Festival! They can get their faces painted and there is a storyteller who tells exciting and educative stories at fixed times.  There are also workshops and plenty to learn about cocoa and chocolate. Please, ask about the times at the counter or information desk.

Important: parents are expected to remain with their children during the activities.

Can I access Chocoa if I am disabled?

Yes you can. Most of the Beurs van Berlage has good access for disabled, even though the entire ground floor of the Beurs van Berlage is 175 cm above the level of the pavement. The main entrance on the Damrak has a lift. Via the main entrance or the lift you can access all the Chocoa spaces. Unfortunately the Beurs van Berlage does not have disabled parking spaces. The Bijenkorf multi-storey car park is located next to the Beurs van Berlage.

If you need assistance please contact us as soon as possible.
