How do I get to the Beurs van Berlage from Amsterdam Central Station?

The Beurs van Berlage is situated in the heart of the centre, about 300 meters from the station on your left hand. You can see the Beurs van Berlage – on the Damrak – in front of you when you leave the station and walk from there towards the Dam square.

Where can I park my car?

There are several options for parking in the area of the Beurs van Berlage. Right next to the Beurs is garage ‘De Bijenkorf’. Another option, especially if you are staying longer, is garage ‘Oosterdok’, which is on walking distance from the Beurs. If you are parked longer than 5 hours you pay only € 10,- For more information about parking in the area, please look here.

Where can I register for the seminars and presentations at the Trade Fair?

The only presentations taking place at the Trade Fair is the Chocolate Makers’ Forum. The Forum includes the Trade Fair. The same goes for the Conference, this also includes the Trade Fair.

Can I enter the Festival with my museum pass (museumjaarkaart)?

Unfortunately you can not use your pass at Chocoa.

Should I buy a ticket for my children?

Children aged up to 5 years old get free entrance to Chocoa Festival. For children between 6 to 17 years old you need to  buy a children’s ticket for a reduced price. From 18 years old you need  to buy a regular ticket. This will be checked.

Are there any activities for children?

Your children will not get bored during Chocoa Festival! They can get their faces painted and there is a storyteller who tells exciting and educative stories at fixed times.  There are also workshops and plenty to learn about cocoa and chocolate. Please, ask about the times at the counter or information desk.

Important: parents are expected to remain with their children during the activities.

Can I register for the chocolate tastings?

Tastings are organized in several rooms. There are free tastings, of which you can get one voucher per person at the event. And there are a few paid tastings, of which you can buy one ticket per person online before the event. Because of the limited availability of tastings, we recommend visitors to come early.  Please sign up for our newsletter to get more updated information on the tastings and the programme.

Can I access Chocoa if I am disabled?

Yes. Most of the Beurs van Berlage has disabled access even though the entire ground floor of the Beurs van Berlage is 175 cm above the level of the pavement. The main entrance on the Damrak has a lift. Via the main entrance or the lift you can access all the Chocoa spaces. Unfortunately the Beurs van Berlage does not have disabled parking spaces. The Bijenkorf multi-storey car park is located next to the Beurs van Berlage.

If you need assistance please contact us beforehand.
