The cocoa world experiences significant turbulences. A unprecedented price volatility, major diseases impacting production volumes, climate change, rising volumes in Latin America, upcoming crime, mostly drugs related, impacting production regions as well as logistical chains,  shift of primary and secondary production to producing countries. All these developments have huge impact on the origin countries, but also on the cocoa hubs in Northwest Europe, including our host city Amsterdam. The cocoa world is in transition, cocoa trade and transport is in transition too.
