Chocoa 2026: Building Resilience in the Cocoa Sector

Chocoa Returns for its 14th Edition: February 16 - 22, 2026

Following the resounding success of Amsterdam Cocoa Week 2025, the city is once again preparing to host the world of sustainable cocoa and chocolate. From 16–22 February 2026, Amsterdam will become the global epicentre for the 14th edition of Chocoa and the 3rd edition of Amsterdam Cocoa Week — a week dedicated to sustainability, innovation, connection and celebration across the entire cocoa value chain.

A Week of Opportunities: What to Expect in 2026?

Amsterdam Cocoa Week 2026 will feature three main events:

  • World Cocoa Foundation Partnership Meeting

  • Chocoa Conference and Trade Fair

  • Cacao of Excellence Awards Ceremonies

Each program will be offered under the shared umbrella of Amsterdam Cocoa Week, creating powerful synergies between business, sustainability, government, finance, research and consumer engagement.

With the largest cocoa port in the world and a dynamic ecosystem of traders, NGOs, institutions and entrepreneurs, Amsterdam continues to be a key player in the global cocoa sector. Chocoa 2026 builds on this legacy, uniting the global cocoa community in a city committed to sustainability and innovation.

Event dates: February 16–22, 2026

Main Events in the week include:

  • World Cocoa Foundation: Partnership Meeting, Innovation Market Place, Cocoa & Forests Initiative, etc.

  • Chocoa: Conference, Trade Fair, Chocolate Makers’ Forum, Financial Course, European Markets Academy, Trade and Transport event, Culinary Masterclasses, Grand Diner du Chocolat and during the weekend, for the consumer, the Amsterdam Chocolate Festival which will host tastings, masterclasses and entertainment.

  • CoEx: Award Ceremonies and Seguine Cacao Bean Auction in partnership with Chocoa and Daarnhouwer.

Partner Side Events: the week also welcomes external partners that host their own events: product launches, innovation showcases, company presentations, meetings & knowledge exchange. Stay tuned for our updated calendar!

Chocoa 2026: Returning Event Highlights

  • Financial Course (Feb 17–18): Focused on business planning, capital access, and pitching for farmer organisations and cocoa entrepreneurs.

  • European Markets Academy (Feb 18): Become a master in cocoa exporting to the European market.

  • Chocoa Trade Fair (Feb 19–20): A curated marketplace where suppliers, buyers, and innovators meet — now with a redesigned layout for better flow and visibility.

  • Chocoa Conference (Feb 19–20): Tackling urgent themes including living income, deforestation regulations, traceability and carbon finance.

  • Chocolate Makers’ Forum (Feb 18–20): An international platform for knowledge exchange, market strategies, and collaboration between craft makers.

  • Culinary Masterclasses (Feb 20–21): Chefs, baristas and artisans explore the power of fine flavour cocoa in savoury dishes, cocktails, and desserts.

  • Grand Dîner du Chocolat (Feb 20): A 5-star culinary celebration and networking moment for over 200 professionals, set once again at Hilton Amsterdam.

  • Chocoa Chocolate Festival (Feb 21–22): A public celebration at Beurs van Berlage with tastings, exhibitors, workshops, and 8,000+ chocolate lovers.
